Master's in Financial Engineering Program

Student Life

Students enrolled in the MFE program don't spend all their time in the lab. Like most graduate students, they take advantage of the Bay Area's restaurants, shopping, and nightlife.

The weather in Berkeley is pleasant year-round, making the area ideal for biking, sailing, and other outdoor activities.

In addition to representing student interests to the MFE and Haas administrations, FESA (Financial Engineering Student Association) officers plan fun events outside class. FESA's annual budget (provided by the MFE program) funds their activities. In the past FESA has sponsored barbecues, wine tastings, bowling, karaoke, dinners, and bar nights. Many of the FESA events allow students to bring their families.
