Master's in Financial Engineering Program

MFE Recruiting Guide

Recruiting Schedule

The MFE Program offers a variety of services to companies interested in recruiting its students. The following are just a sampling of the networking and recruiting opportunities available to you.

Career Fairs

The MFE Program holds career fairs in major cities throughout the year, including San Francisco, New York, Boston, and Chicago. Company participation in career fairs is free. Attendees include current students and recent graduates of the program.

On-Campus Presentations

General Information Sessions (Year-round)
Companies are welcome to present to our students at any time during the academic year. An effective company presentation provides the MFE students with information about your company’s products and services, and explains the various career paths available for financial engineers.

Financial Practice Seminar Series (Weekly, April – August)
The industry perspective is integral in keeping our students abreast of changing trends. During the Financial Practice Seminars, company leaders are invited to discuss their firm’s products and/or showcase cutting-edge research and topics that MFE students can undertake for their faculty-supervised applied finance projects (confidentiality agreements are signed).

Given my strong interest in Structured Finance, this internship allows me to get hands-on experience with CDOs and Aircraft ABS as well as an opportunity to explore other products." Andrei is interning for the Wachovia Structured Credit Products Group. He provides analytics support used in pricing collateralized Debt obligations and Aircraft Asset Backed Security Tranches on the secondary trading desk.
