The Pre-Program Courses
Do you have to be a UC Berkeley student to take the pre-program courses?
No, the pre-program courses are open
to anyone. They are open enrollment courses, so you do not
need to fill out any applications with the University. Because
they are not part of the MFE degree program, you cannot get financial
aid, student housing, or student visas related to your attendance
in the course. They are strictly courses to prepare you for
the MFE program. You will receive grade and certificates
of completion, but they will not be part of your UC Berkeley
transcript.
